Masterpieces of Montserrat Museum, from Caravaggio to Picasso
Under Santa Maria square, and guarded by impressive iron structures, by the architect Puig i Cadafalch, we can find one of the most important state-of-the-art collections in the country.
Saint Jerome by Caravaggio is the starting point for this visit that will allow us to appreciate Impressionist painters such as Monet, Sisley, Degas and Pissarro, Catalan Modernism splendour with Casas and Rusiñol, and early generations from the 20th century together with Mir and Nonell.

All art movements are complemented by Fortuny, Martí Alsina, Romero de Torres and Sorolla.

The 20th century is represented in art by Picasso, Torres Garcia, Dalí or Rouault showing us the Avantgarde Movement.

We finish the tour with contemporary art such as Tàpies, Scully and Chancho, that show us the artistic production from the end of 20th century and beginning of the 21st century.
