From the Monastery to Sant Jeroni
Distance: 2 hours and 30 minutes, 7km.

We take the Sant Joan funicular, which drops us off at the Pla de les Taràntules. Once at the upper station, we follow the path to the right, as indicated by the sign.
We walk past four needle-like rock formations called the Gorres, the tallest, topped with a cross, is known as Gorra Frígia. We continue along the main path throughout the route.
After crossing a narrow passage between two rocks, a viewpoint appears on the left: the Serra de les Paparres lookout, offering magnificent panoramic views.
The path continues toward the head of the valley, enters the forest, and crosses the Santa Maria stream via a wooden footbridge.
We then begin the ascent along a paved section. On the right, take note of the downhill trail; we’ll take this on the way back to return to the Monastery.

In about fifteen minutes, we reach the Chapel of Sant Jeroni. To reach the summit, we turn left, but before that, we can stop at the Mossèn Cinto viewpoint, located partway up.
At the summit, a panoramic orientation board helps identify the surrounding landscape, from the Pyrenees to Els Ports and even Mallorca.
For the return, we can either follow the same path back to the funicular, or descend via the old Sant Jeroni trail, taking the junction mentioned above and following it down towards the Pla dels Ocells and the Monastery.
