Degotalls Path
Distance: 50 minutes, 3,2 km

The Els Degotalls Walk runs beneath the walls that plunge down from the Trinitat plains, located 200 metres above the path. The continuous drips of water are evident in the limestone rock, hence the name “Degotalls”.
Below, with the Pyrenees in the background, the plains teem with life. The lush vegetation and the soft, shaded light create the sensation of being suspended in midair, making this an ideal spot for self-meditation.
Follow the road towards Monistrol. After passing the Mirador dels Apòstols building, you’ll reach a sharp bend. There, take the path on the left that runs parallel to the road, heading northwest, until you reach the Degotalls notch (about 25 minutes). From there, return along the same path.

The walk is adorned with monuments or artists and majolica ceramic works celebrating Marian devotion. Steles and medallions have been placed along the route in memory of several illustrious figures of of our country: Monsignor Jacint Verdaguer, Joan Maragall, Emili Vendrell, Pep Ventura and Pompeu Fabra.
You’ll also find popular and beautiful majolica tilework that offer a fine representation of the invocations that the Catalan people have made to the Virgin Mary.
This path also marks the starting point of the Camino de Santiago from the Monastery.
The vegetation is rich and diverse: mostly holm oak forest with boxwood, along with a cooler area featuring deciduous trees and evergreen species.
